Astra, derived from the Latin word for “stars,” frames this year’s grad show as a constellation of emerging designers. Each graduate represents an individual point of light shaped by distinct disciplines, interests, and perspectives, standing independently while gaining new meaning through proximity and dialogue. Together, these works form a larger system built on connection, collaboration, and shared growth. The orbit motif reflects movement and forward momentum, symbolizing a moment of alignment before our paths expand outward into new chapters. Inspired by the depth of the night sky, Astra’s colour palette speaks to both distance and possibility. Rather than a fixed destination, it represents a shared moment in motion, where individual trajectories briefly intersect before continuing forward.
